Five phases, each one checked before the next begins, the same five we have run thousands of times. Your live store is never frozen until the cutover you schedule, and a failed check leaves everything exactly as it was.

1. 01

   We look

   With your permission we read your current host's setup, your code, and your database. The only thing we add to your old host is a login for us. You get a written review report before we touch anything else.

2. 02

   We prepare an empty home

   Your cron jobs are imported and switched off so nothing runs until you say. Your service versions and settings are matched to what you run today, sized from what your store actually uses, and your firewall, bot, and web server rules come across with anything we can't carry written down for you. Your DNS records are copied into a zone that isn't live until you point your domain at it.

3. 03

   We copy while you keep selling

   Your code, your media, and your database, each one checked for room before it runs. Old backups and caches stay behind. Your encryption key comes across with the database, so saved cards and gateway credentials still open here. Before your database replaces anything we back up what's there and count every table against your old store. Then your PHP version is pinned back to the one you run. We re-sync as often as needed, and your store keeps taking orders where it is the whole time.

4. 04

   We tune it and test it

   The copy goes up on a temporary address here, so you and your developer can click through it without touching the live site. We performance-test it and tune it. We run our diagnostics on it and hand your team patches for anything we find. We run your deployment process end to end with your developers until deploys work the way they expect. Scheduled jobs that point at files only your old server has, and DNS records an email service owns, we list early and agree with you what to move, replace, or drop. Everything else that isn't at 100% we fix, none of it touches the live store, and we answer every question along the way.

5. 05

   We switch it when you say

   You pick the day and hour, day or night. At that time we switch the DNS, re-sync the files, and recopy the database, so nothing sold in between is lost. Scheduled jobs turn on and the old host is released when you say. What changes is shown to you first, and we handle all of it.
