Create a Team

Any signed-in user can create a Team. The person who creates it becomes the owner.

Create the Team

1. Open the Team switcher and select Create team.
2. Enter a Team name.
3. Select Create team.

The name is required and can contain up to 255 characters. synsmarts derives the Team’s URL from the name; you don’t choose a separate handle during creation. Team names don’t have to be unique: when another Team already uses the derived URL, the new Team’s URL gets a suffix and the name stays exactly as you entered it.

After creation, the portal opens the new Team and adds it to your Team switcher. The Team can now own Apps, payment methods, support requests, and members.

If creation fails

Correct any validation message shown below the form and submit again. If the request failed because of a temporary connection problem, select Retry.

Don’t create another Team as a workaround unless you intentionally want a separate workspace. A duplicate Team separates Apps, billing, members, and support history.
